Where it started...

My mom has always influenced my artistic nature, something that commonly lies at the core of my sister and brothers as well. Whether it be sisters intricate attention to detail to create something personal, my brothers stroke of a paint brush and click of a his camera or my other brothers words written in a story stroked by his imagination, we all have been lucky to be artist in our own way. I don't think I realized the importance of such things or what an impact it would have on my life. It is helping influence the person I am becoming and helps me to observe who I already am. Although I may get frustrated at times when something I am sewing takes all afternoon or I have to go back to the drawing board so to say, it teaches me patience. Oh patience, I struggle with that one every day. I have to say it is something I know I will always work on, but I am glad to say I am taking the steps toward doing just that. It is strange though, because I love that I get to work as a nanny and children require the most patience of all, to which I have all the patience in the world. Maybe I let go of my hangups more and am in more of a relaxed state when I am with them in comparison to other situations.
