Three years ago today, I arrived in New York City! I remember how long the flight over was and how I was meant to arrive on the 6th but had to spend the night at the airport due to the weather. Seven has always been a good number to me anyhow. So 3 years, 3 apartments and after living in 3 different parts of Manhattan I have now arrived in my very own studio apartment! It has slowly been coming together and I love finding things to add to the mix in my new place.

Kristina came out for a visit during Christmas and brought along a blizzard. We admired the storm from indoors while taking a stroll thru the Metropolitan Museum. It seems like there has barely been a break in the snow since!
I started the year off with a run thru Central Park at the stroke of midnight. A great way to ring in a new year with fireworks exploding above me, great music playing on my Ipod and a 3 mile run with thousands of strangers! Sure beats that hangover the next morning.

Right now I am working on a few projects while taking on my daily job as a nanny. I am sewing by hand earring holders that I hope to sell in the park when the weather warms up. I recently finished my first children's book writing class. I still have a lot of work to put into it, but I am looking forward to pursuing my new interest and having the result be my very first children's book!
After 3 years of living here, I am happy to say that I no longer get lost on the subway & I know where my favorite place is to get a slice of pizza. I've experienced an Opera at the Met, the theatre, music performances at Carnegie Hall and at various venues in the city, along with a lot of exposure to the creative energy running throughout the city. I've survived winter storms and the summer heat enough to really appreciate the changing of seasons. Here is to the first 3 years and many more great adventures!
