I climbed aboard the bus with everyone else who was looking to get out of town for Memorial Day weekend and headed down to Maryland. It is such a release to detach from the city, if only for a few days. I plan to explore the East Coast a little more this summer, it's a great way to unwind. My favorite thing about being back in home in California is being outside hiking in the mountains. Walking paths like this do just the trick when you are normally surrounded by buildings, traffic and millions of people in the streets...
Later in the weekend I had my first experience with eating delicious Maryland Crabs...This is how it turned out....
Quite a mess, but a lot of fun and worth the effort! For Dessert we stopped by a stand selling Snow Cones. They add a little extra touch to theirs...
