Kashkaval Wine Bar
Great little wine bar in my neighborhood. I have passed by this place several times, always reminding myself that I had to go in some time to see what its all about. I made a point to check it out this week and had a great time! The front entrance leads you into a small cheese and gourmet food market, with intimate seating in the back as part of the wine and cheese bar. The decor in the back consists of wine bottles tucked away in wooden racks, exposed brick and candle lit wooden tables lined shoulder to shoulder with your neighbor. While waiting for our table we took a look at the fresh food in the market that was also available from the menu once seated. We selected a few items from the market, tried the Monchego and French Brie Cheese, a tasty mild Sopressata alongside a serving of thin whole wheat pita and the perfect glass of red wine. This is how I like to enjoy a meal with good company. I prefer a small taste of different items and Tapas is one of my favorite finds anywhere I go. You chat over wine, put a little of this with a little of that, followed by ooing and awing, what's better than that?
