I can’t say enough about how wonderful the play WARHORSE was. The actors on stage seemed to glide together in one fluid motion while working flawlessly thru scene transitions and the puppetry of the animals. The simplicity of the stage was anything but when the ensemble of actors took to the stage, creating a feeling of rural farmland and the dark defeating side of war. It was just something so new, inventive and so inspiring to see the creators imagination come to life. There was such a real connection to the characters and of course the horse itself. Down to the detail in the flow of natural breath, flittering of an ear, rustling of the tail and the trot of such a robust & engaging beast, the horse was brought to life on stage. I felt for the animal, for the struggle and persistance of his owner to overcome obstacles, so much so that by the end of the play my tears left me in awe of such a creative & moving performance. Needless to say it is a show not to be missed.
